Kate O'Connor


Kate O’Connor graduated with a BA in English from Stanford University, California, and is now pursuing an MSt in Engish Literature 1550-1700 at Oxford. During her year as an exchange student at Oxford she co-founded student theatre company Barbarian Productions, wrote and performed in The Musgrave Ritual (Cuppers 2009), performed as 'Mad Margaret' in Ruddigore (O’Reilly Theatre, November 2010), stage managed Tom Stoppard's The Invention of Love (Oxford Playhouse, February 2011) and co-directed Translations (O'Reilly Theatre, May 2010). At Stanford she was the publicity manager for the Stanford Savoyards and acted in a variety of productions. In the summer of 2011 she worked as the Literary Intern for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon. In February 2012 she played 'Viola' in Twelfth Night (O'Reilly Theatre, February 2012). In 2nd week of Trinity term 2012 she will be directing The Two Gentlemen of Verona in Christ Church Cathedral Gardens.
