Bristol Improv

SUMMARY

Bristol Improv astounded the Edinburgh Fringe in 2012, as audiences fought for seats to catch their hilarious improvised job-hunting show ‘Bristol Improv For Hire’. This year, they’re returning to the PBH Free Fringe with not one, but three week-long runs of completely different shows, all at the WhyNot? Club.

Ever wanted to see condensed improvised versions of everything at the Fringe? From Hamlet, to burlesque, expect fast-paced improvised sketches from 'Steals the Show' (3rd-9th August) as the troupe takes suggestions for scenes from show flyers and the audience.

The second week sees Bristol Improv meet Lord of the Rings as they face epic battles, wizards, dragons (and Edinburgh audiences) in the hour-long fantasy inspired improvised narrative: 'An Unexpected Tale' (10th-16th). Costumes, monsters, music, and even the set, emerge spontaneously, based on a title from the audience.

In the final week, the troupe presents the critically acclaimed 'A Night of Noir' (17th-24th): an unscripted film noir play, for fans of hard boiled detectives, femme fatales and dirty low-life gangsters.
