Lashings of Ginger Beer Time

SUMMARY

What could be queerer than pantomime in June? Following on from 2012’s ‘Alternative Sex Education’, Lashings return to the Oxford Fringe with an all-singing, all-dancing LGBTQ+ pantomime! Plucky young orphan Fanny Whittington sets off to London to seek her fortune... but discovers that whatever the streets are paved with, it’s definitely not gold.

The evil mayor has made unemployment a crime, Fanny’s beloved pet rat Basil has been kidnapped by Tories, and she’s just met the love interest of her dreams – who turns out to be working for the enemy! Geeky jokes, singalongs and queer romance abound as a pantomime favourite gets a decidedly 21st –century feminist twist.
