SUMMARY

PARIS, 1640. A bustling city of soldiers and drunkards, ladies and actresses, nuns and whores, pickpockets and noblemen ... and a poet.

Cyrano de Bergerac, equally skilled with the sword and the language of romance, is cursed with an enormous nose which he believes makes him repulsive to Roxanne, the woman he loves.

A rip-roaring comedy combined with a heart-breaking love story, Cyrano de Bergerac is an unashamed swashbuckler taking us from fashionable society in Paris to the horror of the battlefield. Through it all Cyrano strives to help the woman he loves find happiness – with another man.

OTG brings to the stage a cast of diverse and captivating characters set in the world of the Three Musketeers, in an eloquent translation by one of Britain’s foremost novelists. Front and centre is Cyrano himself, who dazzles with his brilliant language.
