SUMMARY

When illegal immigrants Marco and Rodolpho arrive in Brooklyn from Italy they are welcomed into longshoreman Eddie Carbone’s household, as well as the community. But as his niece begins to fall in love with Rodolpho, Eddie’s attitude quickly changes. Is his determination to shield her simply paternal protection, or a more sinister obsession?

Set in 1950s America, Arthur Miller’s classic play addresses issues from the psychological and social; exploring the power of the community to both condemn and redeem. University of Oxford Student Company, Broken Lyre Productions presents this Tony Award-winning gem.
