SUMMARY

'Celebration', Harold Pinter's last, and most accessible play, depicts an evening at the most expensive restaurant in town with darkly hilarious consequences. The dialogue is witty and acerbic, with exchanges of insults, skewed platitudes, and highly suspect memories described with placid certainty, harmonised by perfectly orchestrated walloping slapstick.

Celebration is a caustic portrait of a sated culture choking on its own material success. Startling, characterised by black humour and wicked satire, Celebration is one not to be missed.
