The Activist

Thu 17th – Sat 19th Nov 2011

“New writing based on Euripides' 'Medea' following a cell of four green terrorists as they tear themselves up to find an enemy within.”

"He was worried, worryingly so - there might be someone on the inside. Someone from the outside, inside, us. Our little circle of confidantes."

A piece of new writing based on Euripides' 'Medea'. The play follows a cell of four green terrorists as they tear themselves up in bits to find an enemy within. Caution: May contain hallucinogenic drugs, a funny sociopath and lots of gruesome murder (narrated in verse). Not for the faint hearted.

'The Activist' is brought to you by director Ashleigh Wheeler from the pen of Rob Williams who, having been in the Royal Court Young Writers' Programme, has written and directed a number of plays since arriving in Oxford and who translated the production of Antigone held in The Cellar in 2010.
