Performed by Magdalen College School Theatre Academy Virgil's epic poem, The Aeneid, tells the famous story of love, deception, patriotism and war. Rarely staged, this exciting new adaptation by Royal Shakespeare Company Associate Joanne Pearce covers the first six books.

Destined to found Rome and establish a new nation, Aeneas leads the Trojan exiles towards Italy. This is the timeless story of Aeneas' love for Dido and his homeland, his encounters with the Gods and a terrifying war, as he battles to fulfil his destiny. Showcasing the local talents of pupils from The Magdalen College School Theatre Academy, this world premiere production will bring an iconic piece of literature to life.
