SUMMARY

This is the story of Joseph, the soldier, returning home from the wars and accosted by the devil in disguise. What ensues is a tale of treachery and tragedy told through music and dance that resonates with contemporary audiences as powerfully as it did when Stravinsky first wrote this innovative masterpiece.

In a heady mix of music, dance and poetry we see all the glories of the world collapse. We learn with Joseph that man's salvation is not to be found in worldly wealth or the seductions of magic but music. Music alone makes good Joseph's love and captures the eternal optimism of the human condition, poignantly set against inevitable tragedy.

For two nights only, this is an experience not to be missed.
