James Marsden

Founded in the Summer of 2008 by University of Oxford Students James Marsden and Brian McMahon to produce a new adaptation of Jane Austen's 'Sense & Sensibility' in the gardens of Magdalen College, Reverend Productions has grown somewhat from its modest beginnings, staging productions of Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' (Mansfield College Chapel) and Philip Barry's 'The Philadelphia Story' (OFS Studio). A new adaptation of Jane Austen's 'Emma' by Brian McMahon and Emma Whipday was staged at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the summer of 2009, and followed by 'Tristram Shandy', adapted for the stage for the first time at the Fringe in 2010. Since then Reverend has gone from strength to strength in Oxford, producing 'Brideshead Revisited' and 'Gormenghast' in new adaptations, as well as branching out into Shakespeare with 'Antony and Cleopatra'.
